Language Support (Preview)

Foreman is being translated into more languages. See what's supported today, how to switch, and what's still coming.

Foreman can now display its interface in more than one language. This is an early preview and is under active development — not every part of the app is translated yet.

Languages available today

  • English (default)
  • Spanish — Español
  • French — Français
  • German — Deutsch

What's translated so far

This first release focuses on the main navigation: the app's left sidebar and the public website's top menu. Most in-page content — forms, tables, settings, and admin screens — is still shown in English while we expand coverage. You'll see a mix of your chosen language and English until translation is complete.

How to switch languages

Use the language switcher (the globe-and-flag control):

  • In the app: at the bottom of the left sidebar, near your profile.
  • On the public website: in the top navigation bar.

Pick a language and the page reloads in your choice. If you're signed in, your preference is saved to your account and follows you to any device or browser. If you're signed out, it's remembered on your current browser.

Good to know

  • Changing language reloads the current page.
  • Only part of the interface is translated for now; untranslated text stays in English.
  • Some dates and numbers may format differently by language.
  • Right-to-left languages (such as Arabic) aren't supported yet.

Tell us what you'd like next

We're actively adding languages and coverage. If there's a language you need, or a translation that reads awkwardly, let us know through the in-app Feedback option — it helps us prioritise.
